361 Community Energy, based in North Devon are offering the chance for one lucky winner to have a retrofit survey of their house. The survey will focus on ways to improve the energy efficiency of your home & you’ll be presented with a report that can act as your road map to a zero-carbon home. The service is worth £250 and is a great first step towards a more sustainable home.
The prize offered is for conventional construction dwellings only. If your property is in a higher risk category then a more in depth assessment is required under current standards. This can be provided but additional costs will be applicable. (Prize is Devon wide)
“Carbon Savvy Gardening” Consultation
Pete Yeo, reconciliation ecologist and nature connection guide, offers this prize, a true gift for people who would like to know more about the plants in their garden or surrounding countryside. He can also assist those looking for low-impact ways of gardening. Whether you have acres of land or just a window box, Pete Yeo can offer advice and guidance on low carbon methods of gardening. The prize includes a 1-hour consultation and a summary report detailing the solutions discussed during the consultation. The consultation must be booked within 3 months of winning. The Net Zero Heroes Project
In collaboration with Carbon Savvy’s Lifestyle Spring Clean, we see the launch of this new programme, empowering children and their families to go on a net zero journey of discovery, helping to Save Energy, Save Money and Save the Planet! Net Zero Heroes step this way!
Primary Schools across the South Hams are learning about the small and fun changes we can all make at home, to reduce our carbon footprint and become a Net Zero Hero.
Over three months families will measure and reduce their carbon footprint, and the community with the greatest carbon saving will win a fantastic prize for their primary school – outdoor learning equipment.
